Introduction

In the world, approximately 360 million people suffer from hearing loss. Sign Language is an articulate and pure tool used for such individuals, but most among us do not understand sign language. So, the contact between Deaf-Mute and other individuals becomes a difficult task. We can have a certain interpreter for making this interaction easy.

PURPOSE
The purpose of this project is to alleviate the discrepancy, anyone can communicate with auditory individuals quickly, so they can feel more comfortable while interacting with other people. There are several communication techniques are available, but we are trying to build even more powerful framework that translates sign language into text/voice language in real time. Efficient datasets are required to complete this objective. I need our cooperation for dataset collection. Maybe your single video will have positive impact on the lives of deaf-mute people.

Data security

This data will be used primarily for the research and creation of effective tools for contact between deaf-mute and other people. You agree to data use terms by capturing and uploading the video.

Why I am working on this project

One experience teaches people many things, the same happened to me. I had an accident and at that moment I couldn't speak properly, I realized how hard it is even when I used pen and paper for communication, but the people who are born with deaf-mute, they only understand sign language. So I started to research on sign language and I noticed there is no relevant dataset available. I want to build a meaningful dataset so we can lessen the gap between auditory and other.

Thank you
